Relief of digestive discomfort. Digestex provides digestive support1 with traditional western herbs to relieve symptoms such as bloating and stomach discomfort.2,3 Meadowsweet, traditionally used to soothe and protect the gastrointestinal tract4 is combined with carminative and anti-spasmodic herbs5 to help relieve intestinal spasm by relaxing intestinal muscles.6
Stimulation of digestive secretions with bitter herbs such as dandelion7,8 and gentian. Gentian has traditionally been given orally to increase saliva, gastric and bile secretions.9 Bitter herbs do not need to be tasted to stimulate upper digestive function10 as they activate taste receptors (TASR2) located throughout the gastrointestinal tract.11 TASR2 hormonal and neuronal signalling may affect the secretion of pancreatic enzymes and bile helping to regulate stomach function and acid production.12
Digestive motility.13 Ginger stimulates antral contractions, reduces postprandial antral area, and accelerates gastric emptying.14 Animal studies indicate that ginger contains a combination of spasmogenic (cholinergic) and spasmolytic (calcium antagonist) constituents15 to support gastric motility16 and aid digestion.17,18
Part of the Metagenics Detoxification Program. Digestex contains the traditional liver herb dandelion to assist digestive processes19, and ginger to assist gastric motility for improved digestive transit time. Activation of gastrointestinal bitter receptors is thought to indirectly improve the elimination of absorbed toxins from the gut epithelium.20

Free from animal products, dairy protein, lactose, eggs, gluten, wheat, nuts, yeast, soy protein and salt. Free from artificial colours, sweeteners, flavours and preservatives. Contains methyl salicylate which is a natural component of filipendula ulmaria.
Excipients: Colloidal anhydrous silica, Croscarmellose sodium, Hyprolose, Macrogol 8000 and Magnesium stearate.
Directions

Our packages are non-signature parcels unless requested. If you are not at home, the courier driver typically leaves the parcel at the door or close by. Alternatively, they will leave a card to call. If we are delivering to a business, please provide the business name in the delivery address.
Damaged or Missing parcels
If your products did not reach you in perfect condition, please notify us as soon as possible and we will endeavour to sort out the issue. Please do not return the damaged goods without notifying us first as we will need to make arrangements for the return from our end. Please keep any packaging and damaged items as is, as these are required for the claim process.
In the unlikely event that your parcel doesn't reach you within the expected delivery time-frame (2-3 working days) of our team having emailed you confirmation of dispatch, Please contact us.
